ROUNDTABLE/Behjat Gilani 07.08.2013   TOPIC: Egypt on a Bumpy Road; What Next?   Egypt is witnessing rallies & protests by the supports & opponents of ousted President Dr. Mohammed Morsi. These protestors claim to defend their political point of view. The Interim President Adli Mansour has been consulting with the political parties to form a new interim government. There are challenges as the nation has been divided since the presidential election last year. In this suggested Roundtable we are going to discuss the possibilities & expectations in Egypt. The experts & analysts would explain the different aspects of wide divide among the masses and whether there can be any definite frame work to overcome the differences; establishing an interim government & then preparing for the next steps. The situation is fluid and nothing seems to be certain. What challenges are ahead & how to deal with the present chaos would be the focus of our today’s discussion.   Panel of Analysts & Experts   Sharon Behn, VOA - Central News Division Islamabad Bureau Chief (Confirmed with her to participate for the opening comments about the present situation in Egypt) Dr. Muqtadar Khan, International Relations and Islamic Political Philosophy, Delaware University, USA (Dr. Khan was in Egypt recently & witnessed Tehrir Protests too.
